Forex charts? When looking at a forex chart for a currency "PAIR" you will see 2 lines one for each currency. What is the significance of the "distance" between the two lines (representing each currency)? I am using this to determine the average percentage change, daily, weekly, etc.
I am looking for free live forex charts that uses candlestick as a chart option. can anyone help? I have come accross some free forex candlesticks charts but the bars/chart were so small that I could barely see the candlestick bars. I am looking for nice clear candlestick charts for forex. Why is forex trading often said to be high risk? I am always reading how wild the forex market is and how most trading forex never profit and stop trading forex. I am looking at various charts for usd to yen or usd to euro for instance and it doesn't look all that volatile compared to many small cap stocks.. am i missing something? When a currency dips it usually looks to be around a %5 - %10 draw back, I wouldn't call that very high risk. Do most people trade forex with margin accounts? From my understanding w/ trading stocks - margin can allow you to double your return or loss, is there typically more leverage allowed for forex traders?

Forex Demo and Live? About 3 years ago I was introduced to the FOREX market. I took a stupid technical analysis course which taught me almost nothing about application of technical analysis, just meanings behind formations and candlesticks. I invested 5k with FXCM and started trading. I lost the 5k in 2 months, and at the time, 22 years old, losing that much money was devastating. I have been running demos since then trying to figure out my problem. Finally, after three years, I am profiting in demo's substantially. Each thirty day demo I have ran in the last 3 months has had 50-100% gain. I feel so comfortable reading charts and analyzing economical data, I never thought I would be this way. I have been studying the market and patterns daily for 3 years straight. Anyone with REAL experience, think I am ready to give it another shot? Yes I know all about retracements, fibonaacci elliot wave, flag formation, pivot points, moving averages. all which i use. I understand the basics completely. emotionally, i think i will be fine, because i have a system and only move into trades if they meet my conditions.
Questions regarding Forex? hi I'm new to forex trading and I just had some technical questions for anyone who has some experience My first question is regarding margin calls, now say I'm investing a hundred dollars at 100x, what would happen if my losses were more than 100 dollars but I had another 10 000 dollars in my bank account. Could I set it up for the broker to take more money out of my account instead of losing my position? Another question I had was once again about margin calls. how much money should I leave in my account and not touch to avoid margin calls? If I'm investing with 2000 dollars and I leave 8000 extra in my account could I avoid margin calls? What currency pair on average has the least fluctuation? What is the most detailed site that's not a broker where I can get free analysis, newsfeeds, and good up to date charts? what's a good simple strategy? my plan is to start with 1500 and invest with 1000 dollars at ten times leverage and keep adding more to cut my losses every 8% the value of the currency goes down, I'll put another 1000 and when they go up I'll wait till the money is 100 pips over the average to sell. now that's a beginner strategy which probably has tons of flaws please point them out. How can I start my own Introducing Brokerage for the Forex with MetaTrader4? I have several people using my charts and indicators to trade. A lot of these people ask if I can recommend a good broker for trading on the Foreign Currency Exchange (forex). I'd like to associate myself with a good broker who offers an IB program - basically, an affiliate or referral program, whereby they sign up to my broker that I have a deal with, and I get a "kickback" from the commission. How to trade Forex? Merry Christmas :), So...I am new at the forex market(for a moment I wrote foreST:)) And obviously I have several questions: 1. What to buy now? I see some people who look at the forex too "philosophically". As I said I am newbie at this market, so they can be right, but...why someone would ask about the "Eliot theory" to make money in forex when you just can read news and predictions and see the chart??? Thus, my question is not whether Eliot works or not :), but is it good to buy NZD against the USD, or against the JPY? I think thats the best deals now. 2. Is it that good??? Ofcourse forex seems very attractive to people because of the very high "leverage". In fact, I understand the "leverage" to be a credit. Ok, it's good when I win but if I lose, am i not loosing the brokers money? I guess then noone looses because when I loose, someone else succeeds...anyway you got it :) 3. Can you trust Forex.com? looking for desktop charts? I am looking for a relatively good priced charting platform that supports several differant markets, mostly stocks, forex, and futures... I'd like answers from someone who has experience w/ the platform they are supporting but any information is good. The most important factor is that the charting package supports the markets listed above.
Forex Rollover? Can anybody explain what rollover fees are in Forex? I know they are the differences in overnight rates, but I still don't understand them. I saw a chart that had different values for each currency pair, why are some positive and some negative? If this chart is accurate, should I just trade currency pairs with a positive rollover fee?

Forex forecast about the EUR/USD? What do you think about the eur/usd exchange rate in the short term? Currently the rate is: 1.3532. Technically, we see a constant uptrend since yesterday...the last our even was formed the so called "tree white soldiers" which is a potential signal for an uptrend. However I am not big supporter of the "technical analysis" since it shows only the current position of the market, but the price is driven by economic events not by charts. So, talking about economics, here's the situation about the eur/usd pair: Euro: The European Central Bank decided to leave the interest rate unchanged at 3.75% yesterday USA: 12:30 US Producer Price Index (MoM) (Mar) now:0.6% - was:1.3% 12:30 US Producer Price Index ex Food & Energy (MoM) (Mar) now:0.2%- was:0.4% 12:30 US Trade Balance (Feb) now:$60.50B -was:$59.12B I think the euro is now overbought and as we know from dow jones: "the history repeats". So I would sell to reach 20 pips around 1.35. thanks
forex beginer? i have been doing a practice acount for a while and know how to read the charts i am interested in starting with a few hundred dollers and adding a little bit each check what i dont understand is the leverage 1:10 all the way to like 1:200 what is better why is it better does it effect the pips?? what is recomended for a beginer using small amounts of money??
