Are there day trading rules for forex? Mainly, is there a minimum amount of funds required in your account. Like trading equities, there must be $25,000 in your account to day trade. Does forex have any requirements, or special rules only pertaining to forex? Any and all advice is welcome. Thank you.

Regarding Day Trading and Forex? Background: Fundamentals, with an investing strategy out of the Graham playbook (by distressed, unloved or otherwise underpriced securities). Risk is minimized by having a margin of safety, higher upside than down, and by buying into companies that can be understood and predicted down the line. However, finding a good opportunity tends to leave at least some cash floating around. Aside from dumping it into a placeholder stock like BRK.B, moneymarket, etc. I am interested in utilizing, to some small degree, daytrading. Basically: (1) How is risk managed in security day trading? Forex trading? (2) Do the few successful traders operate by intuition or determinism? (3) How wide of a scope to most traders take? Ten stocks? One hundred? All of them? Similarly, how wide of a scope do forex'ers employ? (4) Is there a way to get a hold of raw market data, outside of the wacky software like eSignal, etc? Please do not try and pitch a trading system. Thanks.

I have been studying forex trading with some help from the FORUM members and find that currencies (GBP/USD) keep on oscillating in a narrow range. this means yoiu can only swing trade. I need to know the number of Yuan traded daily on the FOREX.? For this research project that I'm doing, I need to know either the actual quantity of Yuan (the Chinese currency) traded on the FOREX each day, or the percentage of the FOREX trading that is done in Yuan, or any information that can lead me in that direction. Does anyone have tips on using Vantage Point software for trading the forex market? Have u found it useful?Ta! I find the short term moving average more predictable to base the trends for the following day or two. What I find unnerving is that it is not as simple as "buy" when the blue line crosses the "black line" as advertised on their website! Especially if the market is quite choppy, this could lead to many whipsaws. I also do not find the neurl index very useful, as at times the market goes in the opposite direction to the neural index. What I do find useful, although this was not suggested by the marketing department, was the use of the short term predictive average crossing the medium term moving average and or the 10 day sma; these proved better as a predictive trend for day trading. I fould the predictive ranges for the next day very misleading and certainly very unreliabe for placing stop losses or take profit levels. Does anybody have any good experience with this software? Your response will be much appreciated! Thank you!
Is trading Forex basically legal gambling? I'm a college student who won a chunky settlement and have been using it to pay for my living expenses. However, sick of seeing my bank account slowly deminish, I've been searching for a way to make enough money to pay for gas, beer money and sushi that only consist of me sitting at my computer for an hour or two a few days a week. I came across Forex trading and have been researching it thouroughly. After reading daily journals of traders it seems almost all of them barely break even in the long run. I feel they might as well be playing online poker. Is it worth it? Any other ideas? Is futures trading any better?
Can I realistically make £100 a week on FOREX trading or is it pie in the sky? I think if I was trying to make £1000's each week it would be very hard, but would £20.00 a day (£100 per week) be easier to achieve, I have done a bit of research but have not found a definitive answer yet. Could I make good money by trading Forex, starting with $500? Hello there, So I am curious whether I can make some money with Forex trading, by starting with relatively few amount of money. As far as I see the trends are small and for a 3 days period from Dec-15 to Dec-18 was the GBP/USD with +0.4% trend of the GBP. Well...I am not into this business so I have no idea what kind of money you need to start....but seeing the change rate above this means that if I buy GPB with 500USD and resell it 3 days later in the best possible case I will end up with 0.4 percents more? That of course will be funny money... So what you will advise me to do?

Where can I find a foreign exchange trading account without a 30 day time limit on it? I had a forex training account that used play money, but it expired after 30 days. How good are those FOREX trading tips providers? I would like to start doing forex and I found some "forex trading/tips providers". They basically analyze market data and trends, and send you tips of what is "likely" to happen in the market as soon as they see an opportunity, of course, its up to you to execute your own orders. But how good are they? Their services are not cheap. I am not a math person and my knowledge of technical analysis is limited. trying to become successful at forex trading? hello people , ive started forex trading and even done a course on it . i use fxcm and my style of trading technial on 5 minute charts with 30 pip stop loss and even if i can consistently make 20 pips a day id be happy. it looks workable but ive been using fxcm for some time now and have heard that they are stop hunters, is this true? which is the best and reliable online broker ? which is the best tech. indicator on 5 minute charts or best combination of tech indicators? final question are any of you fx traders living in dubai , if so id like to look and meet them to exchange ideas. thanks appreciate the help.

How do I set up forex currency pairs to watch in my Yahoo Finance page? Forex: short or long positions? Hello all, So, I wonder why so many people speculate with day trading in the forex market when you could easily determine the trend of the EUR/USD and then just buy some EUR....after a few months you should have several hundreds pips gain. I use Several Stock and Forex Trading Programs, but I'm tired of using four different computers. All these day traders, on the ifomercials and on Wall Street, seem to have these Multi-Monitor PCs, with only one mouse and keyboard. Where can you get something affordable, like that? I also read about it on Wikipedia, so I know they exist. Someone told me that I could upgrade my existing computer, by installing another video card, but I don't want to get involved in all of that. In order to do technical analysis for day trading I want to have web site that provides real time charts and host of technical indicators to work on. BSE & NSE are not of much use and Yahoo Finance is late by 20 minutes and therfore not of any value for day traders. I dont mind paying if there is no free site but even after payment if I am linked to yahoo finance it is of no use. I am operating from India. I am sure some knowledgable Indian brother trader or investor or professional can understand my problem and help me out.If possible give me the indicators you are working with for intraday trading only. I intend working only in stocks for the time being and not in futures or derivatives or forex or commodities. Many thanks in anticipation.

I am very decent trading in Forex. How can I make money without any of my own? I have done research in it for maybe a little over two years now.I have traded several demo accounts and have always done very well, in my last account, 50k went to about 75k in a week of intense research, focus, and trading. Every trade resulted in profits, there were I think over 20 trades, some going on together with others, some 5 days, others 1 hour, etc. I want to make big money trading real money, but I don't have any money to invest with because I am a broke student. I am wondering how I can still make money in the market because I believe I have the ability to do so, without having the start up capital myself. Thanks in advance for any helpful advice.

Option Trading? I really like to play stock, day strade, swing trade, long short, you name it. But what is options? I heard that the risk is so much grater than stock. Also can you earn money by predicting which stock will go up or go down ? Is this option? Does option trading similar to FOREX? Sorry, does this means I have to specipy if stock a gonna go down to lets say from $ 9.45 to $ 7.30 SPECIFICALLY. If this is so. It is mighty difficult. I know a lot of stock prices that is for sure to PLUMMET however to say i have to give a SPECIFIC price ? that is almost impossible ?
